In my Cheat Your Way Thin review I want to break down all the hype surrounding Joel Marion’s diet program and I want to deliver the truth to you from my own personal experiences. Before Cheat Your Way Thin came out I had never really heard of Joel before so I was more than a little bit skeptical about his new weight loss program.
So I did some research and found out that he was the Body-For-Life transformation contest winner in 2001 and he had a diet book published a few years earlier. Needless to say I was at first very critical of the Cheat Your Way Thin diet because I didn’t know if it was real or just another weight loss scam.
My Cheat Your Way Thin Review
Let’s get one thing straight first. Just because the title of the diet is called Cheat Your Way Thin it doesn’t mean you can eat whatever you want all the time and still lose weight. Instead the weight loss diet focuses on constantly changing your caloric and glycemic index intake to confuse your metabolism so it keeps burning calories. And there are strategically placed cheat days in the program when you can eat whatever you want and still lose weight.
Too good to be true?
I wanted to know how the heck Joel Marion could really tell people that they could eat whatever they wanted for a full day and not get fat from doing it. I wanted to chuck his diet program out my window when I read that. But then I started looking deeper into why he was doing that. It seems that when your calorie intake gets too low for too long there’s a hormone called leptin that also lowers too.
And once leptin levels get too low they’ll naturally tell your body that your caloric intake is too low and you’ll automatically stopped losing weight. It’s kind of like money, when you’re getting a lot of it you’re way more willing to spend it but when you’re broke you aren’t going to spend a dime.
While doing this diet it’s more than a welcomed feeling when you get a cheat day. The diet overall isn’t that bad but there are just those days when you want to go wild and eat whatever you want. But you’re still going to be eating healthy 90+% of the time.
I also wanted to mention in my Cheat Your Way Thin review all the cool bonuses that you get with the program that you wouldn’t normally get if it was a printed book. At first I was super skeptical about this weight loss diet but after experiencing the program first hand for myself I was pleasantly surprised with the results I got. The program isn’t too intense and the best part about it is you can have a cheat day every once in a while.
