So What’s The Best Way To Lose Belly Fat?
With all the fancy infomercial gadgets out there is hard to determine the best way to lose belly fat because everybody’s trying to sell you the quick fix but none of these shortcuts seem to work. I remember when I was in high school and I was trying to lose belly fat so I went into my local supplement store and I purchased some fat burning pills. I honestly thought they were easy answer to my problem but I quickly realized that they weren’t doing me any good. So I decided to cut out the BS and determine once and for all the best way to lose belly fat in the real world without any gimmicks and sleazy shortcuts.
I quickly understood that even if you work out like an animal but if you eat like a pig you still won’t be able to lose belly fat. This is proof that you can never out train about diet so you can spend hours in the gym but if you’re not taking care of your nutrition then you’ll never see any real results. It’s actually kind of easy to spend an hour or so in the gym but when it comes to dieting it’s an around-the-clock job and it’s so tempting to cheat that you have to use a lot of self-discipline. Self disciplining yourself is so hard that it’s no wonder why so many people are overweight and it’s hard to imagine everybody being able to afford a personal trainer to follow them around and slap the food out of their hands.
So the first thing to get your diet under control is to obviously start eliminating the foods that are a causing you to gain belly fat and the number one foods to eliminate include sugar and processed carbohydrates. These are foods that should be strictly avoided because they cause hormonal releases and your body that make you store fat, lose muscle and crave even more of these processed carbohydrates. This is another reason why so many people are overweight because the food industry has taught us that these foods are actually healthy for us because it’s easier for them to manufacture and they have a much longer shelf life than fresh whole foods. So to start off your new nutrition program is going to be important to purge your pantry and immediately throw out all these foods.
You can even invite a friend who is motivated to help you out so you’re not doing it alone and it’ll be easier for you to have motivation if you’re doing it with a friend rather than alone. Make sure you read the ingredients on the back of these foods because just about everything that comes in the box is usually going to be loaded with some kind of flour and some kind sugar usually in the form of high fructose corn syrup. Once again you should be staying away from these foods at all costs and be replacing them with fresh, organic and whole foods. An awesome strategy when grocery shopping would be to shop along the outside perimeter of the grocery store because this is where they keep all the fresh whole foods that you want to be eating.
The Best Way To Lose Belly Fat Is Nutrition!
So what are some of the foods you should be eating to lose belly fat? The bulk of your diet should be lean protein, vegetables and healthy fats. You’re of course, want to have some carbohydrates but you may get them mostly through the vegetables that you’re eating. My favorite vegetables to burn belly fat include broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, brussels sprouts, kale, collard greens and watercress which you can find at any grocery store and I would recommend buying the organic kind because they will be free of pesticides and toxins, which can cause you to not only get fatter the also be less healthy. I would also recommend eating at least 20 to 30 g of protein for every meal from one of the following sources; chicken, turkey, salmon, tuna, protein powder, eggs and even bacon.
The health benefits of watercress are through the roof, and it’s one of my top superfood choices.
Most people are also unfortunately under the misconception that eating fat will cause you to gain fat, but this couldn’t be any further from the truth. The truth is that your body needs fats in order to stay healthy and to optimally perform but if you keep your body from eating is healthy fats and will fight back by causing cravings until you eventually cheat on your diet and end up binging. Some of these healthy fats include avocados, almonds, walnuts, organic peanut butter and fish oil. And going along with the low-fat diets as a misconception you should also not think about going on a low-calorie diet. A low-calorie diet will cause you to be cranky and also be super hungry all the time which will constantly tempt you to cheat on your diet. Instead focus on eating until you are 80% full and then wait 10 to 15 min. until your brain registers that your stomach is full and if you’re still hungry then you can eat a little bit more.
Is Nutrition Really The Best Way To Lose Belly Fat?
Nutrition is going to be the best way to lose belly fat and in my personal opinion is going to be a lot more difficult to do then working out in the gym a handful times a week. The only thing you should be drinking is cold water and steeped green tea and I would avoid all fruit smoothies, fruit juices and other sugary drinks including diet sodas. The reason for this is because they all contain some form of sugar which will cause your body to release hormones, which will cause you to store fat and this is obviously what we don’t want to have happen. Instead of eating three big meals a day try focusing on eating smaller meals throughout the day every 3 to 4 hours apart. This will help keep your blood sugar levels stable and keep your cravings at a minimum while also increasing your metabolism which will help you burn more fat.
The most important aspects of being successful through dieting is going to be preparation and I’m a big fan of the saying, “if you’re failing to plan dinner planning to fail.” Make sure you write out your meals for the week and at what specific times to ensure you stick to your nutrition program. I would also create grocery lists and have a small meal before you go to the store to make sure that you don’t buy anything unhealthy. Make sure you also journal the foods that you’re eating and I would even recommend taking a picture of the food before you eat it and sending it to your friend or personal trainer. I hope some of these tips on the best way to lose belly fat are honestly going to help you out but now it’s your turn to take action and actually get the job done.
