Day 1: Intermittent Fasting

I’d recommend using Intermittent Fasting during your 3 day detox to lose weight.

This will not only help you to instantly drop calories but it’ll also give your body a break to detox away.

Since you won’t be putting anything into your body except a few key ingredients your body will be able to focus on detoxing away.

I’d start off by doing the Fasting Every Other Day method.

So on the first day, you’ll be intermittent fasting until lunchtime.

In the morning you can only have Athletic Greens, black coffee, unsweetened green tea and of course water.

By the time lunch comes around you can have a small meal under 500 calories. Usually, a small bowl of soup works best.

Most people make the mistake of not eating anything while they’re intermittent fasting which is a big mistakes.

I’ll fully admit intermittent fasting is no walk in the park all the time but there are things you can do to make it way easier.

Day 2: Protein Shakes

For day 2 of the 3 day detox, you’ll be moving onto the protein shake day.

This is where you’ll have some more calories during the day but they’ll be coming from a protein shake diet.

Drinking protein shakes will help to not only keep your calories low but also provide your body will protein.

Protein helps to prevent muscle loss while you’re dieting. Otherwise, you could end up wasting away into being “skinny fat.”

This is where your body wastes away from losing weight the wrong way. Your body will end up being mushy, dimply and squishy.

Try to only have 3-4 protein shakes during the day. Make sure it’s from grass-fed, low carb, naturally sweetened whey protein.

Stay away from the cheap proteins you can find at stores like Wal-Mart. They contain way too much artificial junk in them.

Day 3: Smoothie Day

So on the last day of the 3 day detox, you’re going to have a few smoothies.

One of the problems with going on detox’s and diets is you could easily deprive your body of vital micronutrients.

Micronutrients are the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, probiotics your body needs to thrive optimally.

When you’re not getting enough of these micronutrients your fat burning metabolism won’t run efficiently as it should.

The sauna will help your body detox away the toxic junk by sweating it out.

Your lymphatic system is your network of tissues and organs that are part of the detoxification process.

Since your sweat is part lymphatic fluid you’ll be able to expel more toxins out of your body.

I recommend jumping in the sauna for a good 20 minutes each day during the detox.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you can only really lose so much weight in just 3 days.

I’ve seen people lose up to 10 pounds in 3 short days but you have to temper your expectations too.

It will also largely depend on how much weight you have to lose in the first place. As well as how much toxic junk is built-up in your system.
