Nobody likes listening to slow and boring music when they’re trying to get their sweat on so I decided to share with you my top rated workout songs. I know somedays you just don’t feel like working out and you need that extra kick to motivate you to do your workout and do it with some intensity.
If you’re having trouble staying motivated during your workouts I’d also suggest finding a consistent workout partner who shares the same passion as you for working out. Reliable workout partners are hard to come by and having a bad one could be worse than having one at all.
And your top rated workout songs are effecting your workouts more than you know. There have a been a few science-based studies looking at the effects of your workout songs and how they affect athletic performance.
They found that when those listening to slower music it also slowed down their performance and when they listened to faster pace music their performance intensity also increased. The researchers found a 36% increase in performance just by listening to faster pace music that you enjoy.
But they also found that by listening to faster pace music it didn’t make any difference at your perception of the difficulty of the workout. So even if you blast your iPod with crazy fast music you’ll still be feeling the hardcore intensity of your workout.
Just give the best fat burning exercise a try and you’ll quickly realize you just boarded the pain train, choo choo!
The researchers also found the top workout songs to be between 120-140 bpm (beats per minute) and beyond. If you’re not sure how to count the beats per minute here’s a video that’ll demonstrate how. I also go so far as input this data into my iTunes mp3 tags too.
